My approach
Life’s many challenges can leave us feeling powerless, out of control, and stuck in unhealthy patterns. Our wellbeing is also affected by social and cultural factors beyond our control, such as restrictive gender roles, rigid social norms, and systemic oppression. Therapy can help you gain insight on both the internal patterns and the external pressures affecting your mental health, and it can open you up to different ways of thinking, behaving, and responding to the world.
You may be looking for ways to process and integrate past trauma or work through a current interpersonal conflict. Perhaps you are experiencing depression, anxiety, or another persistent mental-health issue. Therapy can help.
I use an integrated approach that sees you as the expert on your own life. My job is to be your ally in gaining insight, identifying strengths, and developing new emotional and behavioral tools. Above all, I am warm, supportive, and non-judgmental. If you are curious about whether I might be a good fit for you, please reach out for a phone chat.
